Vijayawada: A woman from Telangana lost her life after her saree got stuck in the rear tyre of a moving tractor. The accident occurred while the woman, identified as Sugunamma, was travelling with her husband in an auto-rickshaw.
According to sources, Sugunamma and her husband, Shekhar, were returning to their home from Kurnool in an auto-rickshaw. A sand-laden tractor was moving alongside their vehicle when the unfortunate incident took place. As the two vehicles moved parallel to each other, Sugunamma's saree got caught in the rotating rear tyre of the tractor.
Before either the couple or the driver could react, the saree pulled Sugunamma towards the tractor with great force, dragging her a considerable distance. Her husband, Shekhar, tried to rescue her in a desperate attempt but was unable to free her from the grip of the entangled fabric in time. Sugunamma sustained severe injuries and died on the spot.
