Sukhu attends Kullu Dussehra's last cultural night

Shimla: Chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu presided over the final cultural evening of the International Kullu Dussehra 2024 as the chief guest late Friday evening and extended his best wishes to everyone.

Since last year, the Kullu Dussehra fair has truly achieved international flavour, said Sukhu, adding that an ‘Ambassador Meet’ was organised during the event. He also congratulated chief parliamentary secretary Sunder Singh Thakur and MLA Bhuvneshwar Gaur for their efforts in making the event a success.

Playback singer Neeraj Shridhar was the star performer on the final day of the cultural night . Artists from Uzbekistan also mesmerised the audience with their performances.

Earlier, the CM formally started the traditional Kullu folk dance ‘Lalri’ by performing the ritualistic prayers and participating in the dance. Sukhu also inspected the developmental exhibitions at Dhalpur ground.

“Himachal Pradesh is the land of Gods and Goddesses and it is the collective responsibility of both the state govt and the people to preserve the region’s rich divine culture,” he said.

Lalri is a symbol of the state’s vibrant culture, where entire families come together to perform, the CM added.
