Over 10kg drugs seized, 7 arrested in 10 HP districts

Shimla: Over 10kg charas and 100gm chitta ( heroin ) were seized by Himachal Pradesh Police on Saturday during searches in 10 districts. Seven people have been arrested in this connection.

The operation was carried out at 50 locations in Kangra, Nurpur, Chamba, Una, Dehra, Hamirpur, Solan, Sirmour, Mandi and Bilaspur districts.

Police also seized Rs 8 lakh in cash, digital devices like phones and incriminating documents related to movable and immovable properties. Illicit liquor, too, was found in a few locations during the crackdown.

Police have appealed to the public to remain alert and report any suspicious activities related to narcotics and illegal substances.
