Two men die after lightning strike near Chukkanakal in Koppal

Koppal: Two men lost their lives after lightning struck a farmhouse near Chukkanakal village in Koppal taluk late on Thursday night, April 10.

The deceased have been identified as Manjunath Gali (48) and Govindappa Myagalmani (62).

According to police, the duo had gone out to shut the windows and doors of their farmhouse during heavy rain when lightning struck. Both died on the spot.

The incident occurred within the limits of the Koppal Rural Police Station, and an investigation is underway.
