Former President Barack Obama took the stage in Las Vegas on Sunday, endorsing Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as part of a campaign event leading up to the November 5, US presidential election.

Speaking to an enthusiastic crowd, Obama praised Harris' leadership and highlighted the importance of her potential partnership with Walz. "In the White House, Kamala will have an outstanding partner in Tim Walz," Obama said, expressing his admiration for the Minnesota governor.

Obama went on to list Walz's impressive credentials, calling him a dedicated public servant with a unique background. "I love that guy. Tim is a veteran, he's a teacher, he's a football coach. He's 100 per cent committed," the former president said. "Tim Walz has been a great governor, working with Democrats and Republicans to get stuff done," he added.

Contrasting Minnesota governor's traits with Trump, Obama jokingly said, "I just found out Tim can take vintage trucks apart and put them back together again. Do you think Donald Trump has ever even changed a tire in his life? If he gets a flat tire, he calls Jeeves. 'Jeeves, change my tire,'" Obama quipped, drawing laughter from the crowd."

Turning to the heart of his message, Obama outlined the difference between Harris and Walz’s leadership style and that of their opponents. "The point is, if you elect Kamala and Tim, they won’t be focused on their own problems—they’re going to be focused on yours," he said.

"They’ll be working hard to make your life better, to bring people together, and to tackle the real issues facing this country."

Obama reiterating his grandpa jibe at trump said, ""Have you seen Trump lately? He’s out there giving two-hour speeches that are completely incoherent."

"You’d be concerned if your grandpa was behaving like this—now imagine it from someone who’s seeking unchecked power. We don’t need to find out what an even older, more erratic Donald Trump looks like without any guardrails," he added.
