Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Thursday claimed that China was supplying weapons to Russia, adding that the Asian nation's representative were engaged in the production of weapons on Russian territory.
"We have finally received information that China is supplying weapons to the Russian Federation," he said.
"We believe that Chinese representatives are engaged in the production of some weapons on Russian territory," he added.
However, China last year had made it clear that it wasn't supplying any "lethal weapons" to Russia and had reaffirmed its neutral stance in the war.
"China remains neutral and does not take advantage of the situation by providing weapons to conflict areas or parties involved in the conflict," Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi had said.
Meanwhile, Zelenskyy has also called for increased international pressure on Russia to help bring an end to the three-year war, as his senior advisers held talks in Paris with US and European officials.
The diplomatic push came amid another deadly day on the battlefield, with Russian drone and artillery attacks killing at least 12 people and injuring dozens more across Ukraine.
"Russia uses every day and every night to kill. We must put pressure on the killers... to end this war and guarantee a lasting peace," Zelenskyy said in a Telegram post.
