JIND: Tamanna, daughter of a humble farmer brought pride to the family and the region by being commissioned as a lieutenant in the Military Nursing Service (MNS) through her relentless hard work and determination.
She hails from Uchana Khurd village of Jind district.
Tammana's father Jagdev Singh, stated that she recently completed her passing out parade successfully, marking her official readiness to serve in the Indian Armed Forces.
Bhagat Singh, a member of Daharn Khap, stated that Tamanna’s achievement is not only a matter of immense pride for her family but also a source of inspiration for the entire village of Uchana Khurd and the Jind district. Rising from a farming background to become an officer in the armed forces sets a remarkable example for every young person who dares to dream big and strives to achieve those dreams through dedication and perseverance, he added.
Family member Dev Sheokand shared that Tamanna studied up to 10th grade at Shivania School in Uchana Kalan, and later continued her education in Narwana and Chandigarh. Alongside her studies, Tamanna actively helped her parents with farming and household chores. She used to assist her mother in milking the buffaloes as well.
