VIJAYAWADA: Strongly condemning the terror attack on tourists in Pahalgam of Kashmir, All India Muslim Personal Law Board ( AIMPLB ) has suspended its ongoing protests against the Waqf Board amendment Act . The AIMPLB has also announced three days mourning to extend its sympathy to the bereaved families.
AIMPLB spokesperson for AP and Telangana, Maulana Mufti Umar Abideen said in a statement that the board has strongly condemned the terror attack on innocent tourists. He said that there is no place for violence in democracy.
He said that Board is fully sympathetic to the bereaved families who lost their loving family members to the mindless killings in Jammu and Kashmir. “AIMPLB expressed shock and deep sorrow about the gruesome incident. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. We have also decided to suspend our ongoing protests against W aqf board amendment Act and declare three days mourning,” said Maulana Mufti Umar.
He said that it is undoubtedly a failure of the security apparatus. He demanded that the govt should take up swift investigation to bring justice to the victims. Former MLA and YSRCP PAC member Hafeez Khan strongly condemned the terror attack on the tourists.
He said that it is highly deplorable that about 28 innocent people lost their lives and several others injured in the shocking incident. “YSRCP will stand with the victims' families. We extend our heart-felt condolences to the bereaved families,” said Hafeez Khan.
