3ft-tall groom weds 2.5ft-tall bride

Matches are made in heaven - this saying was proved true once again at a special union, where a 3ft-tall groom from Mumbai travelled to UP's Kaushambi to marry his perfect bride, all of 2.5ft. The newlyweds became the cynosure of all eyes as they exchanged vows at a ceremony held under Mukhya Mantri Samuhik Vivah event at Bhavans Mehta PG College, Bharwari, on Thursday.

Jitendra (20), a resident of Majhilgav Kunda in Pratapgarh, is a fruit vendor in Mumbai. He flew down to Lucknow and then travelled to Kaushambi to tie the knot with Heeramani, a resident of Bharwari. The duo was among 321 couples who had enrolled for marriage under Mukhya Mantri Samuhik Vivah Yojna.
