Elon Musk’s social media platform X (formerly Twitter) India celebrated the Indian women's cricket team's maiden World Cup triumph, revealing that conversations around the historic win exploded by 456.5% in just 24 hours on the platform.

The surge in engagement came after India defeated South Africa by 52 runs in the final at Navi Mumbai on Sunday, claiming their first-ever ICC Women's Cricket World Cup title. X India's official account congratulated the team on their "epic triumph," highlighting the massive online conversation the victory generated.

X India quoted cricket icon Virat Kohli 's congratulatory post, which acknowledged that the team had made every Indian proud and deserved all accolades. Kohli praised the Women in Blue for their "fearless cricket and belief throughout," describing the team as an "inspiration for generations to come."

Tech industry leaders also joined the celebrations, with Google CEO Sundar Pichai drawing parallels to India's iconic men's World Cup victories. He called it a "nail biting" final with "memories of 1983 and 2011," expressing confidence that the win would "inspire a whole generation." Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella declared "Women in Blue = World Champions!" and described it as a moment when "legends born," praising both finalists for making history.
