Chris Jericho shares his thoughts on WWE return
Chris Jericho said that he is not against the idea of going back to WWE. He made it clear that it all depends on the situation and how things are going at that time. At the Horror Rock and Wrestle Fest 2025:
“I would've considered a return to WWE before things had changed. I mean you'd be crazy not to consider it," Jericho said. "I mean, once again, there's two teams that you can play on. Which is amazing. And it's one of the reasons why I wanted to take a chance and go to AEW in the first place. Like, it was a real gamble.”
Jericho also shared about how AEW was still growing when he joined. Back then, the company had no big TV deals or major events. But Jericho believed in it. He took a risk by joining AEW when it was still new.
“I thought if I can go there and we make it into something, that now there's competition. And there's options, not just for the fans, but for the guys and girls as well.”
Still focused on AEW but not closing doors on WWE
Since 2019, Jericho has helped AEW grow into a top wrestling brand. He became AEW’s first-ever World Champion and still plays a big part in the company. Right now, he holds the Ring of Honor World Championship and is scheduled to defend it against Bandido at AEW Dynasty in a Title vs. Mask match.
Even though he is busy with AEW, Jericho made it clear that he is not saying no to WWE. He is just keeping his options open. He said that anything could happen, depending on how things go in the future.
“So, yeah, of course I would consider going back there. I would consider not going back there too. It just depends on what the situation is and what's going on with me. But, we'll see. I mean, it's not even, never say never. It's consider all your options and choose wisely.”
Jericho also mentioned that now is one of the best times to be in wrestling. With two big companies, wrestlers have more chances to grow and earn. Whether he stays in AEW or returns to WWE, fans will be watching closely to see what Jericho does next.
