Aaron Rodgers has continued to remain a free agent after he parted ways with the New York Jets. Last week, the NFL veteran accused his former team of mismanagement and not having a proper discussion about his future with the team, on the Pat McAfee Show and now the team has finally acted on it. Recently, the general manager of the team, Darren Mougey, spoke to the media.

The New York Jets refused to answer any questions about Aaron Rodgers and fans are divided on this

As GM Darren Mougey spoke to the media, he deflected the questions that reporters asked about the NFL legend Aaron Rodgers.

As a reporter asked Darren Mougey about Aaron Rodgers’ comments on the Pat McAfee show, the general manager of the New York Jets said, "I understand the question. I addressed that at the combine. But today I just want to talk about the draft and Jets players."

But the way the New York Jets have behaved has completely divided fans. Some feel this is the best way to move on while others feel Aaron Rodgers is being painted in a negative light.

A fan took to X and posted, “Perfect answer. For the love of God, let’s not mention Rodgers anymore. It’s done and dusted", while another fan wrote, "Love the answer especially from a young GM that if he wanted to could’ve said some sh*t".

A third fan wrote, “Don’t put up with stupid questions. He’s gone, let’s move on.”

However, other fans have slammed the New York Jets. A fan supporting Aaron Rodgers wrote, “Firing a Superbowl winning, 4 time MVP, first ballot HoF QB and not having an exit interview is wild. Peak Jets incompetence.”

Another fan echoed the same emotion and wrote, “Yea let’s not answer a question on a hall of fame QB that chose to come to this franchise and got injured and had 0 coaching or leadership within the organization…..his fault, always.”

What happened when Aaron Rodgers met the New York Jets for the last time?

Aaron Rodgers made an appearance on The Pat McAfee show last week and spoke about his separation from the New York Jets and if retirement in his mind.

As he called his last meeting with the team, Aaron Rodgers said he had to fly to them on his own money and when “we sit down and I think we’re going to have this long conversation, and 20 seconds in and (Aaron Glenn) goes: 'You sure you wanna play football?' And, I said 'Yes,' and he said, 'We’re going in another direction.'"

However, there has been no clarity on Aaron Rodgers’ future in the league yet.
