Best Lune build in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33: Weapons, skills, Pictos & more!

Send Push
Lune might be the second character you unlock in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, but her potential is anything but second-best. With her Elemental Stain mechanics and explosive elemental combos, Lune can easily become one of the strongest members of your party — if you build her right. If you're aiming to maximize her firepower (literally), here's everything you need to know about crafting the ultimate Lune build .
Best Skills for Lune While Lune can be built for support roles, her Fire and Lightning skills turn her into an absolute wrecking ball on the battlefield. Here’s a skill setup that’ll keep the enemies burning and broken:
  • Immolation: Early game essential. Deals extra damage to Marked enemies — perfect if you tag-team with Gustave’s Marked Shot.
  • Thermal Transfer: Free AP? Yes, please. Deals big bonuses against Burning targets, setting you up for massive combos.
  • Electrify: Generates Lightning Stains cheaply and efficiently, setting the stage for bigger moves.
  • Crustal Crush: A heavy-hitter that wrecks single targets with Earth damage and primes Lune for the real showstopper: Hell.
  • Hell: Lune’s ultimate Fire nuke. With the right Stains stacked (Light, Lightning, Earth), it deals devastating Fire damage and loads enemies with Burn stacks.
  • Wildfire: Solid AOE Fire damage plus multiple Burn stacks? A must-have for crowd control.
  • Fire Rage: Unleashes insane Fire damage every turn until Lune gets hit. Keep her protected for max mayhem.
  • Storm Caller: A unique Lightning attack that triggers extra Lightning damage each time an enemy is hit.
If you prefer a more flexible style, you can swap Storm Caller with Mayhem, which consumes all Stains for a massive multi-element burst.

Best Weapon for LuneThe Lighterim is hands-down the best weapon for a Fire-focused Lune build. You can grab it fairly early at Spring Meadows near the Indigo Tree. Here’s why it’s amazing:

  • Level 4: Cuts AP cost for Fire skills.
  • Level 10: Boosts Fire skill damage by 20%.
  • Level 20: Grants an automatic Ice Stain at the start of every battle — super helpful for powering up Fire attacks.
Lighterim scales mainly with Defense, making Lune tankier while still pumping out insane damage. Agility comes in second, letting her act faster in fights.
Best Pictos and Luminas for LuneFor the perfect finish to your Lune build, here’s what you’ll want:
  • Double Burn Picto: Adds extra Burn stacks and buffs Speed and Critical Rate.
  • Base Shield & Shield Affinity Pictos: Auto-generate shields and buff your damage while shielded — a great combo with Fire Rage.
As for Luminas:
  • Energizing Start/Energizing Death: Buffs your AP for longer combos.
  • Shell Luminas: Stack more defense buffs and shield effects.
  • Burning Mark: Boosts Burn damage when targets are Marked — perfect if you have another character setting Marks up.
Lune’s Fire + Lightning build is perfect if you want to take control of the battle with a high-risk, high-reward style. Master the elemental layering, stack your Stains smartly, and equip the right gear—and she’ll quickly become the backbone of your Expedition 33 team.
