Amber Heard has not one, but two more reasons to rejoice and celebrate this Mother’s Day.
The ‘Aquaman’ actress took to social media to share her joy on this Mother’s Day and revealed that she has welcomed twins, a daughter named Agnes and a son named Ocean. She took to Instagram and penned a heartfelt post accompanied by a picture of the little ones' feet, "This year I am elated beyond words to celebrate the completion of the family I've strived to build for years. Today I officially share the news that I welcomed twins into the Heard gang. My daughter Agnes and my son Ocean are keeping my hands (and my heart) full."

Amber, who became a mom for the first time in mid-2021, announced her daughter Oonagh's arrival via surrogacy in an Instagram post, writing, “My daughter was born on April 8, 2021. Her name is Oonagh Paige Heard. She’s the beginning of the rest of my life.” She shared that she decided to have a child four years back, and that she wanted to do so, as she put it – “on my own terms.”

The actress added, “I now appreciate how radical it is for us as women to think about one of the most fundamental parts of our destinies in this way. I hope we arrive at a point in which it’s normalized to not want a ring in order to have a crib. A part of me wants to uphold that my private life is none of anyone’s business. I also get that the nature of my job compels me to take control of this.”
Amber recently reflected that she had chosen motherhood "responsibly and thoughtfully" and "couldn't burst with more joy." She wrote, "When I had my first baby girl Oonagh four years ago, my world changed forever. I thought I couldn't possibly burst with more joy. Well, now I am bursting times three!!! Becoming a mother by myself and on my own terms despite my own fertility challenges has been the most humbling experience of my life. I am eternally grateful that I was able to choose this responsibly and thoughtfully."

However, as soon as Amber’s announcement came, numerous social media users began speculating about the identity of her baby's father.
The ‘baby daddy’ theory:
Social media users were curious about the identity of the father and connected the twins to tech billionaire Elon Musk , who previously dated Amber. Hence, news emerged online regarding an alleged legal conflict between Elon Musk and Amber Heard concerning frozen embryos that the two had created during their relationship. An earlier report associated Musk with Heard's twins.
The Daily Mail had referenced legal documents last month, indicating that Musk was embroiled in a legal battle with Heard over their embryos. As per the report, a close acquaintance of Amber's sister Whitney had provided a declaration during a court case in 2022 stating that the actress and the Tesla CEO had intentions of starting a family together.
Amber’s former friend, actress-producer Jennifer Howell, also claimed that Musk “wanted to destroy them, and Amber tried to retain them to conceive a child.”
However, the resolution of the legal dispute remained undisclosed.
The Heard-Musk Romance
Shortly after her divorce from Johnny Depp, Amber Heard dated Elon Musk in late 2016. The duo was romantically involved for a year and then split up due to their busy schedules.
Musk had shared with Rolling Stone in November 2017 that the break-up was quite difficult for him, adding he was, “really in love, and it hurt bad.”
However, keeping up with his pattern of getting back with his exes, Musk started dating Heard again in December 2017.
The two were photographed kissing, but sources said they were ‘just friends.’ However, the couple finally broke it off for the second time in February 2018.
During their relationship, Musk has been accused of hiring private investigators to watch Amber Heard when she was filming 'Aquaman' in Australia. Amid rumors of footballer visits, Musk is accused of deploying private detectives to spy on Amber Heard using drones and infrared cameras when he suspected her of cheating.
The internet’s take
Although the resolution of the legal dispute between the former couple was not disclosed, social media users were convinced that Elon Musk might indeed be the father of Amber Heard's children.
Highlighting the likelihood of Musk being the twins' father, one social media user commented: “Interesting. Reportedly, Amber Heard and Elon Musk created embryos together during their relationship and then faced a legal disagreement over the rights after their split. Heard wanted to keep them to have a child, so @elonmusk could likely be the father of her children.”
Another user criticized the X platform users for linking Musk to Heard, saying, “Why does it matter so much to people ‘who the father is’ of Amber Heard’s babies? She clearly indicates she became a mother on her own terms by herself. None of you asking genuinely like her; you all just want to tie her to Elon Musk. Enough already, stop it!”
However, Heard has not disclosed the identity of the father. A representative for Heard told PEOPLE, "Amber is thrilled to welcome the twins and complete her family. Mama and the babies are savouring every moment. And Oonagh is happily in charge.”
