Out of the 6,14,459 students who appeared for the examination, 4,98,585 have passed, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 81.14%. This marks a continuation of the steady improvement seen since the pandemic years and reinforces the positive direction of academic standards in the state.

Among them, 2,45,307 boys passed, recording a pass percentage of 78.31%, whereas 2,53,278 girls cleared the exam, registering a higher pass percentage of 84.09%. The results confirm a continuing trend from recent years, with girls maintaining a clear lead in academic performance over boys.
Girls continue to lead in academic performance
The data for 2025 highlights a consistent pattern: girls not only achieve better pass percentages but also maintain a narrower gap in attendance and registration. Of the total 6,19,286 registered candidates, 3,15,705 were boys and 3,03,581 were girls. Attendance was remarkably high at 99.22%, with only a small margin between registered and appeared candidates, underscoring the seriousness with which students approached the board examinations.
The gap of 5.78% between the pass percentages of girls and boys is significant. It reflects a broader social change and improvements in girl child education, parental support, and the efforts of schools to uplift academic performance without gender bias. It also underlines the success of targeted schemes and awareness campaigns promoting education for girls in Andhra Pradesh.
