Kanpur: Kakadeo police arrested four persons in connection with the recent abduction and assault of a competitive exam aspirant on Saturday. The police said that four were arrested, with Aman Dixit alias Bobby identified as the prime accused, along with Satvik, Shani Dixit, and Naman Chaurasia. Court ordered judicial custody for all four.

Aman Dixit, the primary accused, established a pattern of targeting students by offering loans for online gaming, followed by forceful recovery tactics. The victim, Shiva Gupta, aged 18, is a competitive exam aspirant from Jalaun, residing in Kakadev. His father operates a textile business. It began after Aman Dixit borrowed five thousand rupees from Shiva. Upon Shiva's request for repayment, Aman persuaded him to try the online game Aviator to recover his money, with a promise of sharing additional winnings. Shiva subsequently borrowed 58,500 rupees in three instalments but suffered losses. Aman and his associates then physically assaulted him. On April 16, they forcibly took him from his coaching centre, confined him, subjected him to violence, and captured the incident on video.
