Agartala: Three Bangladeshi nationals and two Indian touts were arrested at Teliamura Railway Station in Tripura's Khowai district on Tuesday.
They were attempting to board the Agartala-Silchar train. The Bangladeshi nationals are residents of Lakargaon, located in the Chunarugahat area under Habibganj division in Sylhet, while the Indian touts hail from Khowai in Tripura and Silchar in Assam.
In a separate operation, BSF troops in Tripura thwarted an attempt at trans-border smuggling along the India-Bangladesh border, seizing contraband valued at Rs 4 lakh.
