Lucknow: Samajwadi Party leader and MP Ram Gopal Yadav backtracked on Monday after he allegedly used abusive remarks for Chief Justice of India (CJ) DY Chandrachud over his Ram Mandir verdict remark.Samajwadi Party MP said, "When you bring the dead back to life, they turn into ghosts and haunt the public. Many people talk like this, should I take notice of them." On camera he also allegedly abused CJI.Chandrachud on Sunday had shared his personal experience regarding the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid dispute and revealed that he prayed to God for a resolution. During a felicitation ceremony in his hometown of Kanhersar, the Chief Justice disclosed that he had sought divine guidance while deliberating on the decades-old case, which had been before him for three months.After Ram Gopal Yadav's video of allegedly abusing CJI surfaced, Times Now confronted the Samajwadi MP over the video. "Hum kabhi nahi keh sakte aisa...(I can never say something like this) I can never say such a thing, he's an extraordinary CJI," Ram Gopal Yadav told Times Now after being confronted.
Samajwadi Party chief and Lok Sabha MP Akhilesh Yadav issued clarification while speaking to Times Now over Ram Gopal Yadav's alleged remarks on CJI. Yadav said, "Samajwadi Party respects the CJI. Reacting to the controversy, BJP IT department chief Amit Malviya wrote on X, "CJI DY Chandrachud on Ayodhya verdict: Quote Very often we have cases (to adjudicate) but we don't arrive at a solution. Something similar happened during the Ayodhya (Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid dispute) which was in front of me for three months. I sat before the deity and told him he needed to find a solution. Believe me, if you have faith, God will always find a way."He further wrote,"Unquote: Senior Samajwadi leader Ramgopal Yadav abuses the CJI, calls him a ‘C…’. The pain of seeing a Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, after 500 years of struggle, is unbearable for these so called ‘secularists’.
