Bengaluru: The IT hub is home to many companies that have made records on the global level and now even feature on the list of a diverse set of qualifications. Undoubtedly, the city also houses severe billionaires that made it to the Hurun India Rich List 2024. From software to real estate and financial services, the companies do varied business highlighting the potential of the city.The list features 334 billionaires. Among the top 100 are eight names including that of Azim Prem ji and Narayan Murthy. Here are some details about these richest people in Bengaluru, a TOI report added.

Bengaluru's Richest People Azim Premji – Software and ServicesFormer Wipro chairman and the only one from Bengaluru in the top 10 is Azim Premji, the tech tycoon. His wealth increased by 24%as he maintained the 9th spot in the list with Rs 1,90,700 crore to his name. Irfan Razack – Real Estate Chairman and Managing Director of Prestige Group, Irfan Razack is on the 51st spot on the list with an increase in wealth by 178%. His total wealth amounts to Rs 43,600 crore and his company is one of the most reputed property developers in the country. Nithin Kamath – Financial ServicesA name also popular on social media, Zeroda CEO was placed on the 57th position on the list as his wealth surged by 16% to Rs 41,000 crore, reported Times of India. S Gopalakrishnan – Software and ServicesAt the 62nd spot is S Gopalakrishnan – one of the co-founders of Infosys. He earlier also served as the company’s CEO and MD for five years from 2007 to 2011. He was the Vice Chairman of Infosys from 2011 to 2014. His total wealth increased by 24% and is at Rs 38,500 crore. NR Narayana Murthy – Software and ServicesNR Narayana Murthy, another Infosys co-founder is at the 69th spot with Rs 36,600 crore to his name. He was the CEO of Infosys for 21 years from 1981 to 2002. GM Rao - InfrastructureAnother name on the list is GM Rao, the founder chairman of GMR Group. His wealth increased by 112% and he was put on the 71st spot with 36,300 crore to his name. Ranjan Pai - Manipal Education and Medical GroupWith a wealth of Rs 34,700 crore, chairman of the Manipal Education and Medical Group, Ranjan Pai is on the 74th spot. He is a doctor and businessperson. Kiran MazumdarShaw - BiotechnologyThe last one among 100 is Kiran MazumdarShaw, on 98th spot with Rs 29,000 crore to her name. Kiran is the executive chairperson and founder of Biocon, a biotechnology company based in Bengaluru and has been pivotal during the development of Covid-19 vaccine.
