The United States is reportedly investigating a leak of highly classified intelligence about Israel's plans for an Iran attack, CNN reported on Saturday, citing three sources. The said documents, dated October 15 and 16, was posted on Telegram by an account called “Middle East Spectator.” They are marked as 'top secret', and reveal that Tel Aviv is prepping for an invasion by arming planes with two types of air launched ballistic missiles - ROCKS and Golden Horizon. ROCKS is developed by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems and is a stand-off range air-to-surface missile. 'Golden Horizon' has not been publicly identified previously. According to local media reports, it may refer to a missile from the Sparrow series. Read More: According to CNN, the documents are marked top secret and are meant to be seen only by the US its allies — Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. An Israeli source told Haaretz that Washington has apologized to Tel Aviv for the leak.Authorities are yet to confirm the authenticity of the contents of the documents. Read More: As per the screenshots of the documents, Israel is also preparing with the Blue Sparrow missile, which is 6.5 meters long with a range of 2,000 kilometers and a pre-launch weight of 1,900 kilograms. “If it is true that Israeli tactical plans to respond to Iran’s attack on October 1 have been leaked, it is a serious breach,” Mick Mulroy, former deputy assistant secretary of defense for the Middle East and a retired CIA officer, spoke about the leak to CNN.
