Fortnite developer Epic Games is taking the game offline for the release of update 37.20. The latest period of server downtime begins at 9am BST UK time on the morning of September 10.
While server downtime is never good, fans can at least download and install a new update during the period of server maintenance. Needless to say, you'll need to install the update in order to play the game once maintenance comes to an end.
The news was announced by Epic Games on X, alongside confirmation about when downtime begins.
"A game update will be released tomorrow!" Epic Games confirms. "Downtime for v37.20 begins at 4 AM ET with matchmaking ending shortly beforehand."
It's worth noting that matchmaking will be disabled at 8.30am BST, so you should login before then if you're itching for an early morning match.
Fortnite server downtime typically lasts for a couple of hours, which means you should be able to start playing from around 11am BST.
In terms of what fans can expect, the new update will reportedly introduce another celebrity crossover.
Streamer Kai Cenat will reportedly be added as the next mainstream Icon, while the 1989 Batmobile will be available soon.
There are also reports that online co-op horror game R.E.P.O could be introduced as the next video game crossover.
Needless to say, other new skins will be announced, alongside potential Fortnitemares content for October.
That's on top of all the usual big fixes and gameplay changes.
