is one of golf's most marketable players, making an extortionate amount of money away from the course. Only earns Masters champion.

McIlroy's profitability off the course will only increase after he completed a memorable Career Slam. The 35-year-old banished his Augusta National demons by claiming the first green jacket of his career. He beat Justin Rose in an epic play-off after they both hit 11 under par over four rounds last week.

The Northern Irishman is already well-liked by sponsors. He is young, has vast experience and success, and still has plenty more time to go before he calls time on his career at the elite level.

According to Forbes, McIlroy earned £34million in endorsements over the past year. Incidentally, that is more than the £29m he claimed in golf-related pay during the same 12-month period.

Among McIlroy's biggest donors are Nike, Omega and TaylorMade. His long-term deal with Nike is said to be worth around £75m ($100m) over a 10-year period. He wears the brand's apparel and footwear on the golf course, although Nike no longer produce golf equipment.

"Nike is the leading sports brand in the world and naturally a partner I want to align with," McIlroy says on his website. "Being one of their stable of athletes is a dream come true and gives me an edge in one of the most competitive fields of sport on the planet."

Forbes also list Workday as one of McIlroy's sponsors, although the golfer makes no mention of this relationship on his website. Instead, he lists commercial property insurance company FM, analytics provider Optum, and broadcaster NBC Sports as his other partners.

Due to Nike discontinuing their golf equipment, McIlroy's partnership with TaylorMade is extremely important. They provide all of his equipment, including the clubs with which he won the Masters.

He says of his relationship with his equipment provider: "My future rests firmly in my hands - that's why I choose TaylorMade. I've been around the game long enough and I've seen everything, but I have never been as excited about equipment as I am right now."

McIlroy was the second-highest-paid golfer in 2024, behind LIV Golf star Jon Rahm. However, he will surely build on his £62.5m total earnings last year after winning the Masters.
