Princess Kate's according to Prince Harry.

Although royal fans across the globe know the Princess of Wales, 42, as , her real name is Catherine and is used by both herself and other members of the Royal Family in public.

However, according to Prince Harry, 40, the fact her name began with a C led to an odd request being made by his father the King for one reason.

In the duke's bombshell memoir Spare, the King and Queen wanted Kate to spell her real name Catherine with a K instead of a C as there were already two royal cyphers with the letter C in them.

According to Harry, the couple didn't want there to be another royal cypher with this initial,

Writing in Spare, the Duke of Sussex said: "There were already two royal cyphers with a C and a crown above: Charles and Camilla. It would be too confusing to have another.

"Make it Katherine with a K, they suggested. I wondered now what came of that suggestion."

When the suggestion was made, Harry said he turned to William to look at his reaction. Harry wrote: "I turned to Willy, gave him a look that said 'You listening to this?' His face was blank."

The request for Princess Kate to change her name from beginning with a C to a K has not been fulfilled by the princess and is unlikely to happen in the future.
