'I tried Lisa Snowdon's favourite £25 neck serum - and was surprised by the results'

Skincare brand Boost Lab has gained its fame in the beauty world when This Morning presenter Lisa Snowdon told fans about the neck serum that made her skin "firmer, smoother and tighter".

She used the £24.95Edelweiss Neck Firming Serum for 14 days to test if it can lift crepe-like skin and improve skin elasticity. The results left OK! wellness editor Laura Mulley curious and she decided to test the serum for three weeks. The Australian beauty brand's formula contains Edelweiss extract, Tef Seed Extract and Vegan Collagen Alternative, and it has garnered more than 3,000 five-star reviews online.

Another highly recommended neck cream is PRAI Ageless Throat and Decolletage Creme, priced at £31.99, which holds the top spot for neck creams at both Boots and M&S.

Trinny London's The Elevator, priced at £68, also boasts impressive before-and-after results, with 90% of testers noting a visible improvement in jawline definition after 12 weeks.

Laura, who had tried pricey neck creams in the past, was dubious about the Boost Lab neck serum based on the rather affordable price. According to The Mirror, she explained: "As the name implies, the Edelweiss Neck Firming Serum has a somewhat runny serum consistency, not a cream, and it's quite enjoyable to use, absorbing quickly.

"As for the results I observed? Well, one must be pragmatic; a £25 topical product without prescription-level active ingredients isn't going to lift drooping jowls, sculpt a new jawline or erase deep necklace lines - for that, you'd need, at the very least, professional aesthetic treatments, and perhaps even surgery.

"However, what I did notice was a significant improvement in the quality of my neck skin after using Edelweiss Neck Firming Serum. It had been feeling quite dry, rough and crepey, but after three weeks, it felt smoother, softer and more robust."

There are no rules forbidding shoppers to apply face cream to the neck but Laura found using a dedicated neck product help reminding her to care for the "often-overlooked" area below her chin.

Comparing to a dermatologist-approved neck cream that cost around £170, she said: "I found that the results were no better than with the Boost Lab serum."

One Boost Lab shopper shared: "I love the feel of the product and it sinks in without leaving a greasy or sticky residue. I only gave three stars as so far I haven't seen a decrease in the lines on my neck although the skin does feel better."

But another added: "I wouldn't say that my skin has got tighter, but it has improved the overall condition of my skin. I used to have keratosis pilaris at the base of my neck and this has improved a lot."
