As the festive season approaches, many are on the hunt for those small touches that add an extra sprinkle of Christmas cheer to their homes. Bunches, a family-owned florist renowned for its stunning flowers, plants and hampers, is rivalling the major retailers with its collection of Christmas wreaths.
Established in 1989, Bunches has evolved from a modest family venture into a trusted name in the gifting industry. The brand has garnered glowing testimonials from satisfied customers, with many lauding their wreaths as 'lovely,' 'beautifully crafted,' and 'truly delightful' enhancements to holiday decorations, reports Wales Online.
Whether looking to adorn the front door, brighten up a dining table or add a warm touch to the living room, these wreaths - each priced at £26.50 - could be the ideal finishing touch. Here's a closer look at some of our favourites.
The Festive Fireside Christmas Wreath measures 30cm in diameter and boasts deep red berries that 'glow like embers' amidst the natural pinecones. The vibrant red accents are striking and festive, bringing a splash of colour to front doors this Christmas.
The Whimsical Winter Wreath is touted as being 'crisp and elegant', capturing the charm of a woodland forest. Adorned with swirled pink flowers, sparkling pinecones and pearls, it's said to be perfect for a unique winter display.
The Enchanted Frost Christmas Wreath, adorned with frosted pinecones, blue baubles and pearl accents, conjures up the magic of an 'enchanted winter forest'. It's like something out of a winter fairy tale, adding a touch of enchantment.
The Woodland Charm Christmas Wreath evokes memories of family strolls in the wintry woods, featuring striped ribbons, textured pinecones, clusters of berries and 'vibrant green foliage'. It exudes a fresh, Christmassy aura that feels wholesome and inspired by nature.
The Candy Cane Christmas Wreath, with its natural frosted pinecones, creates a backdrop reminiscent of a winter wonderland, while bright red berries add a splash of 'festive colour' throughout. It's ideal for those who appreciate a hint of sweetness in their Christmas display.
Bunches doesn't just offer wreaths; it also boasts a wide array of cards and hampers suitable for all occasions. Additionally, there is a step-by-step guide on crafting a wreath at home, complete with video content available upon request, enabling shoppers to create their own festive display.
Other brands such as Argos also offer Christmas wreaths at reasonable prices, for instance, the £7 Argos Home Flowers and Foliage Wreath. This wreath, suitable for indoor use, is made from polyester and comes pre-decorated.
Lakeland also offers a distinctive choice with its Lakeland Winter Berry Wreath for £29.99. This is a reusable red berry wreath that is described as perfect for adorning doors, walls or banisters and measures approximately 50cm in diameter.
Bunches say that when creating a wreath, individuals will require a wreath base - either a vine or wicker ring for a rustic appearance, or a wire base for a more minimalist aesthetic - flowers and foliage, sharp scissors and wire or German pins. Step one to crafting the wreath is to 'trim the stems so they are between 8-15cm long'.
Following this, step two involves 'placing the foliage on the base of choice and using the wire or pins to secure it. If the wire or pins are too fiddly, you can use a glue gun,' though they don't recommend this as it means the base can't be re-used for future wreaths.
Step three then requires positioning the flowers within the foliage, ensuring to conceal any stems with other flowers and foliage.
"Have a play with placement to see what looks best before fully weaving them into the foliage and wreath," the brand advises.
And finally, the say: "Fill in the gaps. If there are any spaces left, you can fill these out with little extras such as foliage, flowers, dried fruit slices, pinecones or leaves. Ideally you don't want to see the base, so make sure you have plenty of flowers and foliage for good coverage."
While there are no individual reviews for the wreaths on Bunches, customers have taken to Trustpilot to share their experiences. One satisfied customer said: "Christmas wreath was lovely and arrived on time. Great customer service. Was able to take advantage of an introductory discount. Would highly recommend."
Another echoed this sentiment, saying: "Lovely festive wreath, fully recyclable. Brilliant. Great to know I am dealing with a company with high ethical standards."
However, not all reviews were glowing, as this four-star review says: "The delivery of the plant arrived when the recipient was out. Royal Mail should have left a card but didn't."
Despite these minor hiccups, the majority of customers were delighted with their purchases, with one saying: "Fabulous roses, bought as a reminder of a very loved Uncle who died, I was unable to attend funeral, so these flowers were, and are still, lovely."
