The series went to the Royal Botanic Garden in Edinburgh to allow specialists to value multiple finds as people sought out old items to find out their value.
One expert, Grant Ford, left a guest very happy after sharing the details of their unexpected find.
After a painting was pulled out, Grant said: "From the sun-drenched gardens of Edinburgh to the sun-drenched streets of France.
"This vibrant oil on board with beautiful colour, is signed lower right D Bain 46."
He added: "And of course, it's by the well-known Scottish 20th Century artist Donald Bain. Now, what's its story?"
Surprisingly, the guest admitted that the piece had been in her life for over 20 years. She explained that it hung in the offices of a company she worked for.
In 2018, the company went a major refurb and the painting was placed in the cubpoard.
She added: "I retired in November 2020 and my employers very kindly asked if there was anything I wanted and I said, 'if nobody wants the painting, could I possibly have it?'" And it seems like it was a good decision.
She explained that she "loves the colours" and felt the painting was very cheerful.
She was asked if she believed there was any value in the painting, prompting the guest to admit that she and her husband thought they could fetch about £50.
She was left utterly baffled to discover it was worth release £800-£1,200. But she was encouraged to keep the painting as Ford explained that it was likely to go up in value.
The guest made it clear that she was very grateful with the insight as she left seemingly thrilled over the huge win.
