After the corona infection, there was an increase in heart problems. Cases of heart attacks were reported rapidly among the youth. This was often linked to the vaccine. Questions were also raised from time to time about this, but now all these apprehensions have been dispelled by the study of ICMR and AIIMS. The study claims that the reason for sudden deaths in the country is not the corona vaccine. Cases of heart attacks have increased among people under 40 years of age in the country and especially after the corona epidemic, there has been a significant increase in them. The Union Health Ministry has also confirmed that there is no connection between the corona vaccine and heart attacks in the youth.
Why are questions being raised?
Vaccines were administered in the country to prevent corona infection. Questions have been raised from time to time about the effectiveness of the vaccine. After vaccination, cases of heart attack have increased rapidly across the country. Heart attack cases were also seen among the youth. This was linked to the effect of the corona vaccine. Recently, many youths have died due to heart attack in Hassan district of Karnataka, after which Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in one of his statements blamed the corona vaccine for the heart attack, but the central government has rejected his claim.
Study cleared the doubts
ICMR and NCDC are working together to find out the reason for sudden death of people between 18 and 45 years in the country. So far two studies have been done in this regard. The first study was based on previous data. It was conducted by ICMR's National Institute of Epidemiology (NIE). In which an attempt was made to know the reason for sudden deaths in adults aged 18-45 years. This study was conducted in 47 regional hospitals in 19 states and union territories from May to August 2023. The study included such persons who appeared healthy, but died suddenly between October 2021 and March 2023. The study revealed that Covid vaccination does not increase the risk of sudden deaths in youth.
This information came out in another study
The second study was done by AIIMS and ICMR. This study was based on current investigations. The focus of this study titled 'Finding out the causes of sudden deaths in youth' was also on sudden deaths. The study revealed that heart attack or myocardial infarction (MI) is the main cause of sudden death in the age group of 18 to 45. According to the study, no major change was seen in the pattern of these causes compared to previous years. The study has found that incidents like heart attack have increased due to genetic mutation.
