Viewers of This Morning were left unimpressed by a particular segment on Thursday's (April 17) show. The programme kicked off with hosts and Dermot O'Leary diving into a cooking demonstration.

Beloved chef Rosemary Shrager was there to teach viewers how to whip up an Italian chocolate, almond and orange cake. However, as the 74-year-old star began her baking tutorial, viewers quickly voiced their complaints.

As she hurriedly explained the steps to create the tasty Easter treat, disgruntled viewers took to social media to vent their frustrations.

Yet another person remarked: "She's out of breath and the cake is not even ready yet." One person added: "Absolute car crash of a cooking segment."

One viewer simply stated: "Chaotic..." As the segment commenced, Rosemary assured Alison and Dermot: "I promise you it is not going to be chaos today!"

However, both hosts revealed that the chef had already overcooked something, which Rosemary laughed off, reports .

Dermot quipped: "We do love the chaos!" As Rosemary began making the cake, mixing two ingredients together, Dermot had to prompt her to explain what they were.

As the 74-year-old chef demonstrated how to bake an Easter cake, Dermot sought clarification on the number of eggs being used. Alison then corrected her for mistakenly referring to egg yolks instead of egg whites.

But this wasn't Rosemary's only appearance on the show, as she later took part in a phone-in segment. The culinary expert was ready to assist callers with their Easter food conundrums.

During the segment, she advised one uncle on creating healthy and tasty treats, offered tips on preventing a sponge from sinking in the middle and suggested alternatives to citrus fruits.

This Morning is available to watch on ITVX.
