Brits have crowned and Eminem's unlikely friendship as their top pick, especially after the duo's iconic Grammy performance back in 2001. The survey of 2,000 adults also celebrated other unexpected but cherished friendships, both real and fictional, such as and Rev Richard Coles, as well as the intergalactic friendship between Han Solo and Chewbacca.
The list also wouldn't be complete without mentioning the musical connection between and , which sits comfortably in the top 15 alongside the friendship of TV stars and , who have teamed up with for it's 'Two is more than one' campaign.
In a move that mirrors celebrity couple nicknames like 'Spiedi', 'Brangelina', and 'Bennifer', the pair have merged their surnames to become 'Sam and Pete Twix'.

Pete Wicks commented on their unique bond. saying:“ We couldn’t be any more different, and that just works, so we (or more so Sam) jumped at the chance of combining our names. He’s gutted he didn’t think of it first. Jokes aside, the best thing about our duo is we always have each other’s backs – and you can’t ask for more than that.”
When it comes to Britain's all-time favourite duos, comedy legends Laurel and Hardy took the lead with 42%, followed by TV favourites Ant and Dec at 31%, and the legendary partnership of Paul McCartney and John Lennon at 29%.
When asked what makes a duo truly iconic, 56% of Brits believe it's all about bringing out the best in each other, while 24% feel it's because they are polar opposites.

A significant 66% of people believe in the saying 'opposites attract' when it comes to real-life relationships, with 37% stating they've experienced an unexpected friendship themselves.
Furthermore, 52% say they have formed a bond with someone who initially seemed too different from them, with one in 10 declaring that this person is now their best friend.
Being familiar with each other's families is the biggest indicator of 'best friend status'. Other signs include spending the entire day together and still having plenty to chat about (31%), knowing each other's favourite things (28%), and having your own unique way of communicating (15%).
