Part of a major UK motorway - the M25 which circles London - has been closed causing eight miles of tailbacks during this morning's rush hour.
Traffic was being held after the crash on the anticlockwise carriageway between J11 for Ottershaw and J10 for Wisley. The accident involved a motorbike shortly after 8am, but there are no further details of any other vehicles at this stage.
Traffic officers from National Highways are at the scene alongside police. A spokeswoman that now only one lane remains closed and cars, trucks and vans are now slowly filing past the scene.

They added that police are working at the scene and delays could last for hours, with congestion spreading back eight miles around the anti-clockwise carriageway.
The clockwise carriage is also affected by those slowing down to look at the scene.
