Lorraine Kelly has issued a message to fans after her recent hospital visit. The 65-year-old TV presenter took to her page last week to inform her followers that she was undergoing a 'preventative' operation.
On Saturday, the star stated she would need her "ovaries and tubes taken out", as a "purely preventative" measure. Two days later, she issued a follow up update to fans assuring them she had been well cared for, and confirmed that she would be "following doctors' orders to rest up".
Now, the star has told fans she was "recovering well," as she celebrated a huge milestone for her show. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, the star penned: "Thanx for all your lovely messages I’m recovering well. So proud of my top team - punching above our weight and bucking the trend. Just heard our ratings are up - we had the highest March for four years. Thanks and the gang! Always know how to cheer me up."

Fans also sent the star their well wishes underneath her post, as one penned: "Get better soon! Sending love x," as another said: "Good to read that you're recovering well. Miss you and will be glad when you're back!"
Lorraine had informed fans that she had been feeling under the weather for a while and after several scans and consultations with medical experts, she decided to undergo a surgical procedure. "It's purely preventative, it's going to be with keyhole surgery which is incredible. I'm being very well looked after and I'll obviously see you really soon," she explained.
On Monday, star stepped in to host the show, as she told the audience that she felt "very lucky" to be hosting while Lorraine was on the mend.
Sending her love to the star at the start of the show, Sian said: "First though, before we get started obviously we want to wish Lorraine a speedy recovery.
"You might have seen her post over the weekend. She's been in hospital for an operation; I know she's planning to be back here as soon as she can."
Reassuring her fans over the weekend, Lorraine added: "I'm going to be totally fine and I'll see you soon."
