There could be more deaths on as continues his secret reign of terror in the village.
Actor Oliver Farnworth has hinted the killer could be forced to go to huge lengths to after it was revealed during Thursday's episode. Not only that, but he's also targeted other villagers, including drugging Chas Dingle and harassing her and Liam Cavanagh before framing Ella Forster.
He then caused Jacob Gallagher, who has a severe nut allergy, to go into anaphylactic shock by switching their coffees so that he drank the one with almond milk in. He calmly covered his tracks before saving the day once more.
John has played the hero more than once in the months he's been on the show, with it emerging he is deliberately harming people to then be able to save them. People have started to notice he's always there when something happens with him always saving lives.
One person he could not save after injecting them with something was Nate. Seeing him bruised and injured after a beating from his dad Cain Dingle, John offered Nate something "to help".
Nate died though, and since then John has continued to harm people to then be their saviour. He's also had to make big decisions to cover his tracks, and to cover up his crimes including Nate's murder.

So with him having this desire to hurt and then save people, and him facing being exposed when Nate's body is found, will John be forced to kill again? Actor Oliver certainly teased it might not be over for John's staged heroics.
He also revealed that with so much at stake, John would need to do whatever possible to stop the truth from coming out. His comment about this and "battles ahead" appeared to hint at people being in danger, and that more deaths could air.
He said: "There's lots of big stuff coming up. I guess with the sort of web that John's woven for himself in the back of his mind, he’s anticipating people to start being suspicious, secrets to come out and people to start finding things out.
"He's probably got a few set pieces prepared in his mind for dealing with all of this, but really what he's had to do so far is just kind of think on his feet and adapt to situations around him. I'm sure this will all change soon.
"And the jeopardy at stake for him now is that he's got his whole life in Emmerdale Village. He's got the love of his life, Aaron, he's got a family that he never had. He does not want to lose all that, under any circumstances. There's going to be a few battles ahead, I think."
Teasing the aftermath of Nate's death being revealed, he went on: "What happened with Nate to all intents and purposes was an accident, but there's no way that John dealt with it, or is continuing to deal with it, in the right way. There will certainly be a lot of fallout from that."
He also teased much more was set to come out about John, with it appearing he is harbouring more secrets from his loved ones. Oliver teased: "The backstory that's been created from day one is so deep. The different intricacies of the character are just so interesting to play.
"He's not just a villain or a bad person on paper, there's way, way more to it than that. Even day by day, week by week, I'm literally still discovering things about him. So yes, there's plenty more to come and yes, it's a gift of a part."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays. * Follow Mirror Celebs and TV on , , , , , and .
