Terence Crawford dismissed the boos which greeted him as he made his grand arrival in Las Vegas ahead of his clash with Canelo Alvarez.
Crawford will attempt to step up two weight divisions and topple super-middleweight world champion Alvarez in Sin City on Saturday night. But he was jeered by fans as he walked the red carpet on Tuesday night - in contrast to the warm welcome received by his rival.
But the challenger dismissed the reaction. "It’s cool. I've been booed before and they can't fight for him," he said. "I don’t come to Vegas to have fun. This ain't no different to when I went to Scotland to fight Ricky Burns. They're all going to be quiet come Saturday. I love each and every one of you all, but come Saturday, you're going to be crying. I hope you all put a lot of money on the fight, too."

When it was later put to Crawford that rumours were spreading about a shoulder injury, he added: "Where have I got a shoulder injury? People are coming up with antics, saying Terence Crawford has a shoulder injury, Terence Crawford is slow, they're coming up with all kinds of stuff.
"[I'm looking forward to] shutting everybody up. It's not the first time people have been against Terence Crawford but they can't fight for him so it doesn't matter to me. You can tell this is a bigger event but at the same time it's my job. I'm used to the media, to the people, it's just on a bigger scale. I'm strong, I've never been in the ring with Canelo so I can't speak for him, but thats why we're in the fight we're in."
Alvarez's fans were out in force on The Strip and when asked if this was the biggest fight of his illustrious career, the Mexican said: "It's one of the biggest, for sure. If you mean about what is around the fight, its the biggest. Everybody around this fight, you can see how big it is.
"You have two of the best pound-for-pound fighters fighting each other, we are going to see who is the best on Saturday. I'm super grateful for all the support [my fans] provide for me, I'm really excited to be here. We need to wait until Saturday to find out [what happens]. He looks good, that's when you realise it's going to be a good fight."
