The Modi government at the centre has given a big gift to Maharashtra. The Modi cabinet has made an announcement regarding railways. The railway line from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar to Parbhani will be doubled. Rs 2,179 crore will be spent on this. At the same time, the fourth railway line from Itarsi to Nagpur in Madhya Pradesh has been approved. Rs 5,451 crore will be spent on this.
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar to Parbhani Railway LineRailway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that it is very important for the connectivity of Marathwada. There is a 177 km single line from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar to Parbhani. Its doubling work will be done. There are many industries in this area. Marathwada needs industrial growth. There are many small industries which need connectivity to the port. This will help. Sambhajinagar Industrial City will also get support. There are 28 major bridges in this line. There are 161 small bridges. 14 million tonnes of cargo can be transported through this. 1,714 logistics costs will be saved.
Itarsi to Nagpur Railway Line
The Railway Minister said that there is a high density network from Delhi to Chennai and Mumbai to Howrah. The Itarsi to Nagpur section comes at the intersection point of these two networks. The capacity has to be increased here. A lot of trains pass through this section. There is a double line between Itarsi and Nagpur. The work of the third line is going on and now the fourth line has been approved. This will increase the traffic flow.

The route between Itarsi and Nagpur is 297 km long. There are 31 stations and 36 big and 415 small bridges. This line will connect Mahakaleshwar and Omkareshwar Jyotirlingas in Madhya Pradesh to Srisailam Jyotirlinga in Andhra Pradesh and Rameswaram Jyotirlinga in Tamil Nadu.
