Honda's SUV lineup is about to get more powerful, with ICE, hybrid, and EV variants coming soon!

Honda is preparing to launch four new SUVs in India by 2030, including ICE, hybrid, and electric variants. Let's explore the full details of the Honda Elevate Hybrid, the Alpha EV, and the 7-seater SUV.

Honda Cars India is now fully prepared to revive its declining sales in India. The company is launching four new SUVs in the coming years. These will include a Hybrid SUV, a 7-Seater Premium SUV, a small Sub-Compact SUV, and an Electric SUV. These new cars will be launched in India between 2026 and 2030. The arrival of these models will strengthen Honda's SUV range and help the company regain its foothold in the Indian market.

Honda Elevate Hybrid

• The Honda Elevate has received a tremendous response in India, and now a hybrid version is on the way. The company is preparing to launch it in the second half of 2026. The Honda Elevate Hybrid will feature the same 1.5-liter e: HEV powertrain currently offered in the Honda City Hybrid. This engine, a combination of a petrol motor, electric motor, and battery system, will generate approximately 126 bhp. The SUV is expected to feature an e-CVT automatic transmission and a fuel efficiency of approximately 27–28 kmpl. Design-wise, it will receive minor changes—a new grille, blue highlights, and "Hybrid" badging will make it easy to identify. Inside, features like an ADAS safety system, six airbags, and wireless connectivity are expected.

Honda's 7-Seater Premium SUV

• Honda is now planning to introduce a new 7-seater premium SUV in India. This model will be built on the company's PF2 platform, which is also used in the Honda City. The SUV is expected to be offered with two engine options: a 1.5L petrol engine and a 1.5L hybrid powertrain, both of which will be available with a CVT automatic gearbox. This SUV will rival the likes of the Toyota Innova Hycross and Hyundai Alcazar in terms of size and features. Inside, the cabin could feature premium features like captain seats, a panoramic sunroof, a Level-2 ADAS safety system, ventilated seats, and a 360-degree camera.

Honda Sub-Compact SUV

• Honda is returning to the sub-4 meter SUV segment after a long time. The company left this segment vacant after the discontinuation of the WR-V, but now plans to reintroduce it in 2029. The new sub-compact SUV could also feature a hybrid version with a 1.5L petrol engine. This SUV will also be based on the PF2 platform and will challenge vehicles like the Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, and Hyundai Venue. 

Honda 0 Alpha Electric SUV

• Honda has officially confirmed that its first electric SUV, the Honda 0 Alpha (α), will launch in India by the end of 2027. This SUV is part of the company's Global EV Vision 2030 and is being developed specifically for Asian markets. It will be powered by a 65kWh to 75kWh battery pack, which will provide a range of 500 to 600 km on a single charge. The SUV will feature a front-wheel drive setup and a powerful electric motor. In terms of design, the car will be based on the "Thin, Light, and Smart" theme, featuring a tall SUV stance, sleek LED lights, and a modern front profile. The interior cabin will feature modern features like a digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, panoramic lighting, Level-2 ADAS, and OTA software updates.
