Glass utensils or things should not be bought on Dhanteras. Glass brings negativity in the house. Similarly, black colored items like clothes or other things should also not be bought. Black color is not considered auspicious. You should buy white or yellow colored things.
Iron items should not be bought on Dhanteras. Apart from this, sharp-edged items like knives, scissors should also not be bought. These can cause discord and unrest in the house. Apart from this, one should also avoid buying old and used things on this day. Old things bring negativity. It is important to buy the right things on Dhanteras so that with the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Kuber, there is happiness, peace and prosperity in your home.
