AI-based HR tech startup TurboHire has raised $6 Mn (around INR 52.7 Cr) in its Series A funding round led by IvyCap Ventures, with participation from an undisclosed host of angel investors.
The Hyderabad-based startup plans to deploy the fresh proceeds to fund its global expansion plans, strengthen product capabilities and penetrate deeper into the HR tech ecosystem.
“TurboHire brings together AI-powered automation, workflows, and data on one single enterprise-grade platform—with exceptional configurability and integrability,” said TurboHire founder and chief executive Deepak Agrawal.
Founded by Agrawal, Rakesh Nayak and Gaurav Kumar in 2019, TurboHire leverages agentic AI to automate the enterprise recruitment process. The startup offers AI-based tools and insights to ease the end-to-end hiring process.
It claims to have onboarded more than 120 enterprises as its clients. Its client portfolio includes Cipla, Tata Motors, PwC, Lenskart, Britannia, and major conglomerates, including RPG Group, Motilal Oswal Group, and ANI Technologies (Ola).
Prior to this, the startup bagged $2 Mn in Pre-Series A funding round co-led by Pentathlon Venture Capital and The Chennai Angels in 2022.
Agentic AI Driving The HR Tech WaveFor any enterprise, an efficient hiring process is extremely crucial and complex. The need is being fulfilled by several HR tech startups, which are leveraging AI agents to bridge the gap between companies and ideal candidates.
As per a report, the Indian HR tech market was valued at $1.12 Bn in 2024 and is projected to reach $2.3 Bn by 2033.
Companies DarwinBox, Keka, HeyKey and ZingHR, among others, are disrupting the space with innovations and introducing AI to their service suite.
Recently, DarwinBox raised $140 Mn in an undisclosed round co-led by Partners Group and KKR to fuel its international expansion plans as well as deepen its tech stack.
