Waves Summit: PM Modi released postage stamps in the name of veterans in 'Waves', Nagarjuna said- I am grateful..

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) on Thursday. In this, tribute was paid to the legends of the Indian entertainment industry. Superstar Nagarjuna welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi on stage. After this, PM Modi released postage stamps in honor of the big personalities of Indian cinema. These postage stamps were released in the name of filmmakers Guru Dutt, Ritwik Ghatak, Raj Khosla, composer-singer-poet Salil Chowdhary and actor P. Bhanumathi.

Nagarjuna came on stage and said 'Waves Summit celebrates the spirit of India. During the 55th IFFI, postage stamps were released in memory of four legends of Indian cinema - Raj Kapoor, Mohammed Rafi, Tapan Sinha, and my father Akkineni Nageswara Rao. Once again India is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the birth of five great people. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting pays tribute to them.

He further said, 'The Postal Department of the Government of India will issue postage stamps in honor of Guru Dutt ji, Ritwik Ghatak ji, Salil Chaudhary ji, Raj Khosla ji and P. Bhanumathi ji. Through this initiative, he tried to honor the heritage of Indian cinema. For this, I am grateful to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the Prime Minister of India.'

After this, the superstar requested Prime Minister Modi to come on the stage. After this, he released commemorative postage stamps along with Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Dr. L. Murugan.

Big artists attended the summit.
Big artists of Indian film participated in this summit. On the first day of the summit, Rajinikanth, Mohanlal, Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Naga Chaitanya, Shobhita Dhulipala, Sara Ali Khan and Vicky Kaushal were present.

The summit was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It will run for four days. The star-studded summit aims to showcase Indian cinema to audiences across the world.
