Kannada actor Kichcha Sudeep breaks down at mother Saroja's last rites

Kannada star Kichcha Sudeep was seen breaking down at his mother’s last rites. The ‘Eega’ actor’s mother Saroja Sanjeev, passed away on Sunday morning in Bengaluru. Her body was brought home later that afternoon, and many political figures and members of the Kannada film industry visited Sudeep's residence to pay their respects.

One of those who visited was Basavaraj S. Bommai. Sudeep, overwhelmed with grief, was seen breaking down in the former Karnataka Chief Minister’s arms as Bommai offered his condolences. Sharing a photo of the moment on X, Bommai wrote, "Actor Sudeep bid a final farewell to his mother, and I offered my condolences to his family." Earlier that day, Bommai also paid tribute to Sudeep's mother, expressing his sorrow: "I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Smt. Saroja, the mother of renowned actor @KicchaSudeep. I pray that God gives Sudeep and his family the strength to endure this loss. May her soul rest in eternal peace. Om Shanti."

The news of Saroja Sanjeev's passing emerged on Sunday morning. Reports indicated that she had been receiving treatment for age-related health issues, but her condition worsened in the early hours of Sunday, leading to her passing. Sudeep shared a very close bond with his mother.

‘ Kantara’ star Rishab Shetty also offered his condolences. “My deepest condolences to you, @KicchaSudeep Sir, on the loss of your beloved mother. May her soul rest in peace, and may you and your family find strength and comfort during this difficult time,” read his post.
