In today's era, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is not only revolutionizing the world of technology, but is also bringing a big change in the lives of common people. 35-year-old Jennifer Allen, a resident of America, is a living example of this, who repaid a credit card debt of about Rs 20 lakh with the help of the AI tool ChatGPT.
Jennifer is a real estate agent and content creator by profession. Her income was fine but the lack of financial literacy put her in trouble. The situation worsened when her daughter was born.
Due to medical expenses and parenting needs, she had to resort to credit cards again and again. She says that she was not living a royal life, she was spending only on essential things, but gradually the debt increased so much that she herself got scared.
During this time, she took the help of ChatGPT and started a 30-day personal finance challenge. Every day ChatGPT kept advising her to take small steps like stopping unnecessary subscriptions, searching old bank accounts, or making a meal plan with the things available at home.
Once when she checked her brokerage accounts on the advice of AI, she found about Rs 8.5 lakh in it which she had invested years ago and had forgotten. Another day, on the advice of AI, she reduced the grocery expenses and saved up to Rs 50 thousand.
In this way, within 30 days, she repaid a debt of about Rs 10.3 lakh, which was almost half of her total debt. Jennifer says that this did not happen by magic, but she faced her financial situation every day, recognized her mistakes and tried to correct them. "I stopped being afraid of money, and that was my biggest victory," she said.
She is now preparing to launch a second 30-day financial challenge to get rid of the rest of her debt. In the US, where personal debt is rising rapidly, Jennifer's story is a ray of hope for millions of people who are burdened with debt. Her message is clear: "Don't wait for the perfect time or the perfect answers to start. Just start and stop running away from your situation."
