Poldark, the BBC series that stole viewers' hearts at its peak, has left fans wondering about the whereabouts of its cast.

The show, based on Winston Graham's popular novel series first published in the 1940s, centres around the charismatic Ross Poldark (portrayed by Aidan Turner) who returns from the American Revolutionary War to find his father dead, his estate in ruins and his girlfriend engaged to another man, forcing him to start afresh.

Five years after the conclusion of Poldark's five-season run, fans are keen to know what the cast has been up to.

Where are the stars of Poldark now? Ross Poldark - Aidan Turner

Aidan Turner, the leading man of the drama, played the heartthrob Ross Poldark.

Since hanging up his 18th-century boots, the Irish actor has featured in several hit series, including Leonardo, Toast of Tinseltown, The Suspect, and Fifteen Love.

He is currently starring in the Disney+ drama Rivals, playing TV presenter Declan O'Hara. The drama was released in full on Friday, October 18.

Turner tied the knot with his long-term girlfriend, Caitlin Fitzgerald, a year after leaving Poldark. The couple met on the set of the fantasy film The Man Who Killed Hitler.

Demelza - Eleanor Tomlinson

Demelza, portrayed by Eleanor Tomlinson, undergoes significant growth during her time in Poldark. She eventually marries Ross Poldark, and they have five children together.

Eleanor Tomlinson, famed for her role in Poldark, has been gracing our screens in a variety of hit shows, including Netflix's 'Love Wedding Repeat', HBO's 'The Nevers', Sky One's 'Intergalactic', and the epic 'The War Of The Worlds'.

In 2021, she dazzled audiences alongside Outlander heartthrob Sam Heughan in Channel 4's gripping drama 'The Couple Next Door', and more recently, she's been spotted filming for BBC's comedy-crime series 'The Outlaws', penned and directed by the multi-talented Stephen Merchant.

In 2022, Tomlinson tied the knot with rugby ace Will Owen and the couple are now expecting their first child, with Eleanor sharing an adorable snap of a baby onesie emblazoned with "Baby Owen", captioned: "Can't Wait to meet you little one".

George Warleggan - Jack Farthing

Jack Farthing, who brought the formidable George Warleggan to life on screen, maintains a low profile off-camera. However, it's known that he's romantically linked to actress and writer Hanako Footman.

Farthing enjoyed a mini Poldark reunion with co-star Tomlinson in the romantic comedy 'Love Wedding Repeat' released on in 2020.

His career has since soared, portraying King Charles III in the Princess Diana biopic starring Kristen Stewart, and featuring in series such as 'Chloe', 'Rain ' and 'The Serial Killer's Wife'.

Dwight Enys - Luke Norris

Luke Norris, best known as the compassionate Dr Dwight Enys from Poldark, has continued his acting journey with roles in 'The Colour Room', 'The Girl Before', 'The Weekend Away', and ITV's detective drama 'Grace'.

Norris, as per his IMDb profile, is slated to feature in the thriller Black Cab, sharing screen space with Shaun Of The Dead's Nick Frost and Last Night In Soho star Synnove Karlsen.

Elizabeth - Heida Reed

Elizabeth was romantically involved with Ross Poldark prior to the war, but later found herself betrothed to George Warleggan.

Heida Reed, an Icelandic actress, has appeared in Against The Ice and Blank. However, since 2021, she has been a key character in FBI: International, playing the role of Special Agent Jamie Kellett.
