The One Show's Alex Jones floored as Hollywood legend reveals real age live on air

BBC The One Show fans were left picking their jaws up off the floor after Keanu Reeves revealed his real age on the programme.

In a recent episode of the popular chat show, the actor, famed for his roles in the Bill and Ted films, graced the iconic red sofa with writer Mieville to discuss their latest literary collaboration, 'the book of elsewhere'.

But it was a casual revelation from Keanu that had viewers and hosts Gabby Logan and Alex Jones utterly flabbergasted. Chatting about the significant life events he's marked this year, Keanu casually let slip: "Well I've turned 60 this year."

A visibly stunned Alex turned to him and exclaimed: "Did you? You cannot be 60.", reports . To which Keanu confirmed: "Yes I am 60 years old." Alex, still reeling, responded with a simple: "wow."

The revelation sent viewers into a frenzy on X, previously known as , as they couldn't get over Keanu's age-defying looks.

One fan tweeted: "Keanu Reeves is 60? #theoneshow." Another shared: "Keanu Reeves, one of the good guys. How is he 60? ? #TheOneShow."

Someone else posted: "OMG how can #KeanuReeves look this gorgeous at 60 The man is timeless #TheOneShow." A baffled viewer asked: "Wait Keanu 60? He doesn't look like it #TheOneShow." And another echoed: "Wow Keanu does not look 60 #TheOneShow."

One fan gushed on social media: "Whenever I feel old, I look at the divine Keanu. We are the same age ('64 babies) and are younger than Pitt, Clooney, Depp, and Cruise. Age is just a number and Keanu and I are really cool despite being 60. #TheOneShow."

During the show, Keanu Reeves shared his thoughts on reuniting with Sandra Bullock for the 30th anniversary of their hit film 'Speed', saying, "It was so nice. Sandra Bullock and I get along so well and it's always nice to see her so it was nice to hang out for a little bit."

Gabby quizzed him about their past on-set chemistry, asking, "Did you guys discover later that you could have got on better because you had a little crush on each other while on set but you didn't find out until later on that you fancied each other."

Keanu's response was: "Oh yes. We were very professional." The studio erupted in laughter as Alex chimed in: "That would have been a nice couple." Gabby remarked: "There was great chemistry online anyway."
