New mum Megan McKenna shares harrowing details of brutal cesarean section operation

Megan McKenna has recounted the agony she endured while undergoing a cesarean section when her first baby arrived.

became a first time mum earlier this month as she welcomed a son named Landon with her 27. Over two weeks have passed since Megan revealed her son had arrived and now she has reflected on the traumatic birth she endured.

The former star explained that she was left fearing her bones were being cracked when she underwent a c-section. She also said she struggled to adjust to a new way of living while recovering from the brutal surgery.

Taking to , the star said in a video message to her fans: "The day Landon changed my life forever.. I hope you enjoy my first vlog. I’ll reply to any questions about the birth, aftercare & my little Landon in the comments. Thank you again for all being so caring and supportive. I love you all."

She told her fans: "All I can say about the whole C-section is the pressure, pushing down on here, literally took my breath away. I honestly thought they were going to crack my ribs, and that was the scariest part."

She added: "It's not been easy having a C-section, coming home and not being able to do anything. Being in so much pain, not being able to wash myself and being in pain." Her message was met with a warm reception from fans who thanked her for her honest recollection of her ordeal.

One fan commented in the comments section of the post: "I'm so glad you put in there the struggles of being able to get up. I don't think il ever forget that pain for the first time." And another typed: "Just gorgeous. The post c section brought back all the memories, well done amazing mama." And a further sympathetic fan commented: "I forgot how painful laughing is after a C section."

Megan delighted fans when she announced the arrival of her first child on social media on 9 October. She wrote online at the time: "Oh our beautiful baby Landon, he is so loved already. I can’t wait to do auntie duties all over again [crying face emoji] love you all so so much can’t wait to give him the biggest cuddles." Responding to the news, one fan posted: "Oh babe! Huge congratulations! We are boy mums together! Gorgeous name! Enjoy the bubble, it’s the best."

Megan and Oliver have been engaged since June last year - with the footballer popping the question after five months of dating. Sharing a video montage from a holiday in Montenegro, Megan penned on social media at the time: "YES YES YES a thousand times YES. You have opened up a I never thought was possible. I love you Oliver Burke… here’s to forever my future husband."
